Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the first president in the history of Mexico, will be in charge of inaugurating the Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians in Mexico City, according to the United Nations (UN). This event will take place from March 14 to 16 and represents a unique opportunity for women parliamentarians to gather and define strategies for gender equality.

The opening ceremony will take place at the National Palace on Friday, March 14, while the event itself will be held at the Hilton Hotel on Reforma. During the ceremony, the president will deliver a welcoming speech and will subsequently give a lecture titled 'The Path to Parity in Mexico.'

In the words of the UN in Geneva, this meeting is highlighted as a key opportunity to promote gender equality at the parliamentary level, allowing participants to establish strategies for that purpose.
